EI7M | M2 | We had an enjoyable weekend but had some technical problems and didn't operate for anything near the full 48 hours. We always find RTTY contests are an ideal opportunity for new, or more casual operators to have a go, with plenty of good craic. Thanks to all for a great time! |

F8ATS | SO LP ALL | SOME POINTS JUST FOR FUN |
G0BRC | MSH | Great contest as usual but many new members to the BRATS TEAM so not as many points scored |
G0MTN | SO LP ALL | I had plans for a serious SO2R SOAB-LP, but local stormy weather and solar weather put me off. This was some slow S&P with the 'Plan B' doublet-in-a-tree, whilst ironing out bugs in the station. Panadapter now working reliably - I could immediately see the value of tuning by eye, and stereo audio recording of the contest is now working. I spent time with the family on the Sunday instead of any operating, but from the reports I missed the best of the challenging conditions |
G3L | SO LP ALL | Much less time this W/E for the contest, but managed to give out a few points to the Guys & Gals |
G3YJQ | SA HP 40M | Band condition was very bad |
G4DBW | SA HP 40M | Tried 7MHz single band effort - noisy condtions throughout weekend |
G4OZG | SO LP ALL | Icom 706Mk2G 80 Watts 80/40 Trap dipole at 25 feet 20M Vertical with elevated radials |
G4RS | SO HP ALL | Fantastic to be back in the chair at the Royal Signals home station |
G6N | SO LP 80M | FT1000 wid 100W into W3DZZ @ 8m above ground WX showery, heavy at times with some static rain |
GM6DX | SA LP ALL | JUST PLAYING AT IT |
GU0SUP | SO LP ALL | The solar conditions did not play ball! It was hard going and made staying in the chair a bit of a chore, so plenty of breaks were taken. Sunday was a little better, and I managed to find a few more mults, but still lacking a lot of States/Provinces. Spent most of the time trawling the bands from the top down, searching for mults, and noted some very poor operating practices on some of the rarer DX stations. I did spend some time CQ'ing, but runs were short, as low antennas and 100W are not ideal in such poor conditions. Thanks to all for the points, I did have fun |
GW4HBK | SO LP 20M | TNX FOR CONTEST |
