W4EESA LP ALLAs always, a fun contest
W4GHVSO HP ALLIC-7610 & G5RV
W4IPCMSLThis was our first time seriously operating a RTTY contest... I've played around in a few in the past but never done a full effort. After about the first two hours we started to not expect to break the conditions were but making it to 700 was a pleasant surprise! The low bands were pretty good, 20 and up were not very desirable due to the G1 solar flare that decided to hit. On 20m we were struggling to even hear 9A1A and other 'beacon' stations. It was nice for the band to open slightly and allow for a almost no openings to EU except for one Italian station we could barely make out. 15m did have some nice openings to South America like expected and allowed us to get some much needed mults. 10m had an extremely short opening to South America allowing us to work a couple of stations deep into SA. 40m and 20m were the bands that yielded the most contacts but only because we stayed on 20 most of the day... 40m and 80m were our sugar bands where we could actually get a decent run going. All in all it was a fun contest and do be expecting to hear our diddles again in the future. Also big thanks to Ray W2RE and the RHR youth program for allowing us the use of the great station! https://www.remotehamradio.com/youth/ Station: Radio: Flex 6600 10m: 5/5 @95/50ft 15m: 4/4 @95/50ft 20m: 3/3 @95/50ft 40m: 2el @93ft 80m: dipole @90ft
W4MLBMSHFun weekend for the group. We all had a great time. Looking forward to the next one in a month! No storms for this one, great weather
W4VICSA HP ALL20M a disaster! picking out stations one at a time is a real rate-buster. Thanks for the Qs. 73, Vic W4VIC
W5APSA HP ALLOnly operated 22 hours and had fun checking out all my station glitches Tnx to all for the Q's
W5PRSO HP 10MTen meter conditions were not quite as good as last year. No EU, AF, or AS. Highlight was working KH6 on scatter
W6JBRSO HP ALLUnlike other recent outings, the band conditions for this contest seemed much improved, with many loud, clear signals. The waterfall was really crowded on 20 and 40 meters. I was very pleased to make 220 Qs and surpass 50K points this time. Thanks for the Qs. See you next time! 73, JR Station- K3/100, P3 ACOM 1000 RT-3000 tuner WinKeyer3 USB (as FSK interface) 31 foot ground mounted wire vertical fed with 9to1 Unun Dell Core2 1.8GHz WinXP N1MM+ MMTTY (True FSK)
W6QUSO QRP ALLCOVID-19 sure cuts down on the Caribbean contest stations. But I love counting states as multipliers here at the bottom of the cycle
W7BOBSO LP ALLI found an error in the log file, Please accept. Raw score of 49,896 Thanks
W7DGRSO LP ALLVery Awesome Contest
W7WHYSA HP ALLThat was fun. Not much DX until the last half hour and then I had a nice little run of our Japanese friends to keep things interesting. Thanks for the Q's and 73 Tom W7WHY
W8JWNSA HP 40MMinor G1 storm didn't help communications. Didn't hear(see) any JA stations and Europe was spotty on 40 meters here in the U.P. of Michigan
WA1FCNSA LP 40MI had goal in mind, but never knew it would take over 750 Q's to reach it
WA5POKSO LP ALLMy first effort in the CQ WW RTTY contest with field day antennas set up at the new QTH. Conditons were pretty poor with an A index of 20 to 26 but I still had fun operating and learning this contest
WA6URYSO HP ALLOperated remote from Tokyo, Japan
WA7LNWSA HP ALLRough conditions! Tough at times to make Qs. 2-Tone decoder got a real workout. I was hoping to finish with 1,450 Qs, but conditions worsened. Surprised on Sunday afternoon @ 2230 UTC when OG66X called me with a super loud S9 +20dB signal, almost knocked me off my chair. Enjoyed working fellow Outlaws! HF Remote Station - K3 Twins, KPA-500, HEX Beam @ 65 ft., 80, 40 wire slopers. 73 Jack, WA7LNW / Utah
WB2COYSO LP ALLGreat participation!
WB4UBKSO LP ALLFirst major RTTY contest. Not able to operate as much as I wanted, but will be back!
WB4YDLSO HP ALLReally enjoyed getting back in the saddle again. This was a part-time effort with lots of family items to attend to, but I got to sit in the chair for maybe 20 hours
WB6JJJSO HP 40MRotor problems then our son arrived with parts to build a new and faster computer. Next year should be much better. Bill
WB7UOFSO LP ALLA first for me. IC7300 on the porch and a 100' of wire for the antenna
WB9TFHSA HP ALLWas only able to get on part time, shared the radio with the YL WB9TFF so she could operate. Operated mostly Sunday afternoon. Had planned to operate the weekend but the cards didn't fall this way. Had fun being on the air!
WD6TSA LP ALLMainly operated at the Multi, and exclusively on 40/80 (all of the first night, half the second, and at the end). So thought I'd get on higher bands from small home station for a short time (2130-2300 Sat. and 2030-2100 Sun.) Also kept it 100w to avoid RFI problems and out of curiosity as to what was possible from my QTH with a hill blocking the path to the NE. Easily worked South America on 15m... at least the few signals that were loud. On 20m, signals were weak and it was much harder to be heard. Did manage one EA. A short attempt at running on Sunday afternoon attracted only one skimmer spot and only one caller
WH6FAMSA LP ALLMahalo to all who participated

WQ6XSA HP ALLThis was another WQ6X remote operation from NX6T in Fallbrook. Various commitments kept me in the Alameda area for this contest weekend. I ran NX6T's STN-1 by way of RCForb to run the radio and VNC viewer to run the N1MM+ contest software. The usual Elecraft K3 ran the contest into an Expert-2k amplifier dialed back to around 585 watts to keep the top of the hill radio shack much cooler. On the upper bands running a 3-el Stepp-IR allowed running bi-directional for simultaneous JA / SA working. A C-31 on the other tower gave better signals and lower noise. 40-meters relied on a Short-40 yagi and 80 used just a coaxial Inverted Vee.
