| S53WD | SO HP ALL | As young HAM, I've got opportunity to have this contest from our Radioklub Cerkno - S50E contest location. As I don't have my own equipment yet, I was working with our club gears. Transceiver was Icom IC-7300 connected to Ranger 811 Linear amplifier, giving 500W into several beams and wire antennas. Our mentor Janez-S51J didn't let me use our bigger amplifier with legal power. So antennas were 5 el. Beams for 20, 15 and 10 meters two of them each, pointed in different directions, 40MDY 2 el. Beam for 40m and 2 el. Delta loop for 80 m band. Last one is fix, pointed to USA direction. As I have my school in a different part of Slovenija, I live in a student dormitory there, and have to go by bus on Sunday afternoon, me and our mentor decided to work Classic category for 24 hours, and I'm very pleased that I was able to made it. It was hard by night, but I was encouraged by my mentor, who was watching my work all 24 hours!
